The Virginia Wine Council (VWC) serves as the Virginia wine industry's representative on legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to winery and vineyard activity, providing value to Virginia's booming wine industry through education and advocacy efforts.

The VWC provides wineries, vineyards, and state and local governments with a resource to assist in developing state legislation, regulatory policies, and local ordinances that draws the appropriate balance between the reasonable business activities of wineries and the appropriate level of regulation to protect the health, safety, and welfare of citizens.

Please browse our website for pertinent legislative information, current and archived newsletters, and numerous resources for winery & vineyard professionals, industry partners and those interested in expanding their knowledge of Virginia's wine industry.

Mark your calendars for two upcoming events! The VWC invites you to join us for our Pre-Session Legislative Roundtable, Thursday, December 3 at Early Mountain Vineyards. We also invite you to our Annual Virginia Wine & Vine Legislative Day – Thursday, January 21, 2016. Call us for more information and to reserve your seat for these two events.

And remember to visit the "Who's My Legislator" website to confirm your Delegate/Senator. Remember - your personal reps may differ from your cidery, vineyard or farm winery so check both addresses and keep their contact information handy! Then reach out to your Delegate & Senator – especially if they were just elected – and say hello in advance of 2016!
